- · European Professional Cards
o Consensus within the European Parliament that the Cards shall apply in the whole of the EU territory
o Must be certified by the country of origin and validated by the country of destination
o Delegated Act must be elaborated by a consultation of experts at national and European level
o A pilot project would delay the effective launch of the Cards
- · Partial Access
o In favor of exclusion of the health professions
o Open to discussion in order to allow partial access in specific cases
- · Common Training Framework
o Significant for youngsters
o Importance of lifelong training
- · Language tests
o Consensus on its necessity under the responsibility of the competent authorities
o Cost of the language tests must be low, or even free
o Agreement is to be reached between the main players
- · Alert Mechanism
o Equilibrium must be found between patient’s safety and data protection
o Many differences on data protection from a country to another
- · Nurses Training in Europe
o Blockage from Germany concerning the years of training. Germany doesn’t agree with 12 years of formation. They call for 10 years.
o Perception of the nurse’s profession in Germany is not the same as in the other
o Germans should take inspiration from France like France took inspiration from the Germans concerning craft.
o List of competencies must be drafted. Last one was made 30 years ago. This list would assure that the nurses who trained during 10 years have the sufficient knowledge.
- · IMCO Committee vote on the amendments of Directive 2005/36/CE relating to “Qualifications” postponed to the 24th of January 2013. Plenary vote in March.
